Statement

Drawing and painting are of equal significance in my practice and my approach is intuitive.  My work hovers between the abstract and figurative, and an added gesture can take the work to a different place.  Within it there is often a hint of primordial narrative, which manifests itself as a piece develops.

Most recently, I have been making small sculptures from recycled materials.  These are developing into a body of sentinels and towers, painted or using discarded canvases to form a new narrative.
